I think we're just talking semantics.
The OP means she was not employed but was not a claimant for unemployment benefits.
There is a distinction; it just depends what definition/sense you're taking. Many non-working partners would take great exception to being labelled as unemployed but would not mind being described as not in employment.
The OP knows what she means and so do we - y'know?
Agree with your point about semantics. It wasn't difficult to understand what the OP meant. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
I asked the question ' Can i changed my personal advisor' . I only ever wanted an answer to that question. Not Hostility, Judgement and Insults.
Adereterial: Perhaps you are correct in saying that the J.S.A did not class me as a housewife. But several Companies do. Over the years I have had to fill in Application forms for, amongst others; a Bank Account, Credit Card and Mobile Phone . They all made a distinction between non-working people, classified as 1 unemployed 2 student 3 housewife/homemaker 4 retired. Also I NEVER mentioned whether I claimed N.I credits, yet you stated I did not!
How Presumptious! A person is only entitled to claim N.I credits if they are seeking work, that is part of the J.S.A agreement. At the time I was not seeking work. Should I have lied?! I thought this was a Q&A site. I did not expect to have to defend myself for asking an Innocent question!0 -
Thankyou to all who have been decent x0
