Getting graffiti / spray paint off a car bonnet?

Any ideas how get spray paint off a car bonnet? Or is this a garage re-spray/insurance claim job? (have already spoke to insurance co - who tell me its £150 excess on my policy ....but to be honest, i've no idea how / how much this will cost to fix)

if the paint is water based thinners will get it off easy peasy as long as you take your time and have a bowl of water with a cloth and wipe clean at regular intervals, if not, a body shop will mop (machine buffer) it off and polish the bonnet as a bonus.
