thanks green- I have seen some in the shops that are obviously false ones but smell, thought I might by those, they look orange, waxy, cloved up and the same principal but not a real orange, can't remember how much they were but saw them in a xmas shop....0

I'vew made these before and they do last for years. Pierce the orange with Knitting needle 1st to make pushing in clove stalk easier. Put cloves pretty close together(about 3mm space around each one),cloves often cheap at asian food shops. Put in airing cupboard until orange has shrunk and cloves are tightly packed. I put a few of them in a gold dish to display and fragrance hallway. Can be put away in dry place from year to year.earn what you can, save what you can, give what you can :hello:0

Remember making them with my mum for my first ever primary teacher for Christmas...... We left gaps between sections of cloves to then tie round with velvet ribbon.0
