I opened an unpaid item dispute on the 11th May, still no reply from buyer, what now

Title says it all, on the case page it says:

"Unpaid item case open – awaiting payment
You can close this case now" and the link next to it says "Take action" which leads to the only option "close case", but I obviously don't want to close the case, as the funds haven't been received. Any advice on how I can sort this out?

EDIT: This unpaid item case has been closed
You will receive a final value fee credit and the unpaid item will be recorded on the buyer's account.

:)

thx for help all

Think you have to wait 10 days and then you can escalate to ebay to make a decision.

Simmed you know what to do and I don't know why you are asking again.

You can't enforce payment, so you can either close the dispute and move on, or (if this is the case where the buyer did pay) just let the dispute lapse.

No, if a dispute continues without a reply from the buyer then after a certain amount of time, the seller will be able to get his listing fees back and the buyer will get a no-payment mark, is this correct? Do you know when such a time is?

A non paying dispute can be closed after 4 days from opening and the buyer gets a strike and the seller reclaims their fees. The dispute console will be quite clear about what is happening before you commit yourself, so read the options carefully.

If you do not close the disptue and it eventually times out then you do not get your fees refunded and buyer does not get a strike.

    Thx. In eBay it says:

    "4. Close the case.

Timeline: As soon as 4 days and up to 36 days after the listing ended
If the buyer pays using one of eBay's approved electronic payment methods, the case closes automatically. But if they use another method, you need to go to your My eBay and mark the item as paid.
If the buyer doesn't pay, you should close the case in the Resolution Centre and request a final value fee credit. If you don't close the case, it expires on the 37th day after the listing has ended and you don't get a final value fee credit.
    To close the case:
Log in to the Resolution Centre and find the case
Under Have you received payment from the buyer?, select Yes or No"

I opened the case on the 11th, and it's now the 16th, meaning at least 4 days has passed, however I don't have the thing where it says "have you received payment from the buyer?".. think I should ask their customer service?

This case has been opened by the seller for the following reason: Buyer's payment hasn't been received or hasn't cleared.
Additional information provided by the seller: Immediate payment was checked on the listing meaning buy it now is pay for it now, ebay technical
error. Not my fault - item now sold elsewhere.
    Owed out = lots.

It has to be exactly 4 days from when the NPB was opened so for instance if you opened it at 9pm then you can't close it until 9pm today.

No need to ask ebay anything, you have cut and pasted the relevant bits and ebay will only answer an entirely unrelated question.

Widelats yours looks supiciously like a mutual, I haven't seen one for a while so I can't be sure. If it is a mutual you cannot close it as you need the buyers agreement to do so, or you have to wait for it to time out. How quickly after the auction ended did you open it?

Your reason was also invalid, BIN does not mean pay for it now as that is a different check box. If you made a mistake in listing it is not ebays fault and is not a glitch, merely a mistake on your part.

I can close it after 7 days, then go for a not paid for item and get my fees - i think.

Michael, when you opened the case we sent an email to the buyer asking
them if they agreed to Cancel the sale. We give buyers 7 days to respond
to your case. If after this time the buyer has not responded you can
manually close the case.If you don't close the case within 60 days of
the end of the listing, it will automatically close and you will not
    receive your Final Value fee.

Here's how to close the case and claim your Final Value Fee:

    1. Go to My eBay > Resolution Centre.
    2. On your Resolution page, click 'View case' next to the one you want
    to close.
    3. Click 'Close case' and select the reason you're closing the case.

Note that to receive a Final Value Fee credit you must select 'I want to
end communication with the buyer' at this point. If you select 'The
buyer and I have completed this transaction successfully', you won't
receive a Final Value Fee credit.

Once you've closed the unpaid item case and received a credit for your
Final Value Fee, you can relist the item. You must do this within 90
days of the end of the original listing. You'll be charged a second
Insertion Fee, which we'll credit back to your account if the item
sells. Please note that only applies to the first relisting of an item
and it must be listed in auction format.

Here's how to relist your item:

    1. Go to My eBay > Selling.
    2. Find the item and click 'Relist' in the drop-down next to the item.

To find out more about our free relist policy, copy this link into a new
    browser window:

    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/questions/free-relist.html

I trust this information has been useful. If I can be of any further
help simply reply to this email.

    Kind regards,

    Naomi Cruise

You can't change it from a mutual to an NPB widelats, you just close it as soon as it allows you to close it and reclaim your fees. If meanwhile buyer responds and indicates they do want the item then you are stuck.

It's been a while since I did a mutual though so I suggest you read the small print all the way through and make sure you don't close it too early and lose your fees.
