Branston Beans - How Many in a Tin?
Comments
-
then you dont end up with a load of sauce and a few beans if your not using the whole tin at once
I'm single and live on my own, I never use a whole tin of beans at once.
What I do is get a tupperware container and spoon half the contents of the tin into a pan and the other half into the tupperware container. The ones I put in the pan I eat that day, the others go into the freezer.
If you dig the spoon deep enough into the tin you get an even distribution of beans and sauce.
Then you stir the ones in the pan and hey presto, an even distribution of beans and sauce.
Edit: I suppose what I am saying is, you don't have to pour the beans out of the tin. You can spoon them out and gain two advantages, and even distribution of beans and sauce, and an equal amount used each time.0 -

I don't understand what you are saying? I am single and also don't buy the tiddly little tins, that's why I have to put half the tin in the freezer. If I bought the tiddly little tins I would eat one all at once.
I may be being a little thick here, and if I am I apologise, but could you explain what exactly you mean?0 -
We had some crosse & blackwell beans blue wrapper 4 for a £1 they were more like soup very runny and would not thicken even when left to simmer.. won't be buying those again0

the size of the Branston bean tins was reduced a while back
completely messed up the symmetry of the pyramid on my worktop :mad:0 -

Heinz only do these and I hate Heinz beans. Their beans are too mushy. Other brands beans don't break up and go into mush.0 -

better way of testing is to pour the tin into a sieve.
then run it under a tap to all the sauce has gone.
shake or cloth to dry then weigh them.
wash out test are pretty common on products like this.0
