Interestingly they used to have the highest sales/sq ft on the High St.0 -

Hmmm - I know a few 'partially sighted' people (thorough voluntry work) who couldn't use a computer - does the Richer Sounds webstie come in braille... I suspect gimmick too!
No I suspect it does not come in braille. My dad is "registered blind" and the way things are going will be totally blind in the next year or so due to him having a condition called retinitis pigmentosa. Music is one of the only things he can "do" by himself and I think RS should be commended for offering the service. Just because you are registered blind does not mean you cannot use a PC, there are software packages and and speech search engines that can assist. Unfortunately his eyesight is beyond these great aids and I find it highly offensive that you are taking the p!ss out of RS/the blind. Think before you type something that may cause offence.
Your sight is precious - I hope you never have to go what he is going through!

According to the Guiness book of records sui, they had the highest sales per sq foot for 6 years running0

It is fairly easy for me, as a seeing and able-bodied person, to get to a Richer Sounds store and bring my purchase home.
People who have disabilities or who are registered blind might have difficulty doing this so I think it's good that Richer Sounds is thinking of these potential customers by offering them free delivery from the website. It is good business sense to treat customers well, especially if they feel they need extra help with something.
They also have disabled assistance bells outside all of their stores.
How cynical of them!0 -

Get a grip! It was a serious point about exploiting a 'weak' subset of the population for marketing/ financial gain, orit was a poorly thought out idea!
You do not have a monoply on partially sighted and blind peeps, you know! Thwere is more than one in the world, and other people know them tooApril Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -

Get a grip? Yes I think you need to. I am fully aware I do not have the monopoly on blind people, I was using my father as an example you pr!ck.
They are not using tham for financial gain, they are giving the oppertunity to people who it would be difficult/dangerous to go down a highstreet the facility to get the same goods at the same price without having to worry about whether they can get down town safely or not. These companies usually pay for their couriers in blocks - it more than likely costs them nothing to absorb this minute percentage of shipments into their overall cost.
Again, think before you speak!  :mad:0 -
Have a word with yourself - Read the above posts again - my dad is one of millions, I am only stating my opinions from a personal, factual view. You are just being abusive and insensitive.0

There is a strong history of retinoblastoma in my family (although I didn't feel the need to bang on about it) - one of the main reasons I did a first degree in genetics, but that is by-the-by. How does my personal view become abusive, just because it is not the same as yours - which must be the only view to have of course
I suggest you read your insensitive comments again, and once more I point out that the world does not revolve around you :rolleyes::rolleyes:April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -

Hopefully someone is around to assist them on the computer?
RS has always been full of gimmicks thas why the are good - but a little pricey - but they do price beat!0
