    Hi Lilac Pixie,

Everybody is different, and once I got on a roll, with a few extra jobs here and there, the hard part was done... You have a great target to aim for - good luck!!

So well done! So pleased for you. I really need to pull my socks up and start on this mortgage free journey. We have a BIG mortgage and I would really like to start overpaying. Problem is there always seem to be other things to pay for.

How do you do it? I am doing last bits of work to the house. So now we are starting with our debt and we need to start chipping away.

    So pleased for you.

How much are you planning to overpay?? Once you start its pretty addictive!

Found you! Another big WELL DONE on your MF status. You make it seem easy... and make me feel tired at the same time just thinking about it! I've just started at £190K, and think even if I go mental with the OPs we still will be 9 years away at least. Although to make myself feel a teensy bit better I will use my DD as an excuse ;). Am going to reread your diary soon to get in the right frame of mind.

I would second pictures of dream home - or a good description at least! I too dream of a home in N Wales to retire to - I'd like to get it while still young so we could holiday there and then move permanently once MF and ready to pack in the day jobs!

Thanks! Well it won't really be a mansion, but just maybe...

I had a really rubbish weekend, I came down with some sort of sickness bug, on Friday night, and although I managed 1 and a haf hours of tuition, I had to cancel my hair removal appointment and my final tutoring client. I also spent most of the weekend hugging the toilet, so not great all round really!

I need to do something nice for oh as apart from feeding, he did everyhting for the baby all weekend.

The baby was up all night - I hope he is not ill, but I think its just wind. I got 3 and a half hours sleep, so I've dragged myself in today :(

At work this morning I got all confused with the lessons and was late, the class were not particularly nice, another teacher mentioned the baby and I burst into tears! OH DEAR!!

Still it can only get better!!!

    Plan of action:

Get out of work on time
    Do a top up shop
    Collect baby
    Feed baby
    Tutoring client
    Feed everyone

Some good news, I have given the final numbers to the hotel for the Chrsitening a week on Sunday and its all going to come in at less than £400.

Thanks for the well wishes CathT, my day was much better after that, and the private client lesson went fine.

In the end I decided to do a weekly shop and spent £20. This was about £10 cheaper than normal as I made a list and stuck to it - lesson learnt there!

The baby still wouldn't go to bed properly last night, so I might have to have a re think on his routine.

A promotion opportunity has come up at work, I have asked for more information on it, but it looks SO much work for £200 extra per month! It doesn't stack up really and I am not going to apply.

Feeling a lot more positive today though and ready to get on with more saving...
