How do you guys get up to your gutters please? Just climb a ladder or what?

I would use a ladder but I am lucky on this one I can do it form a step ladder.

    I like the sandbag tip.

My problem is with this canopy porch ( built that way) right across the house, is that I have to have to use a three section ladder at a shallow angle to get at the 1st floor windows. It's usually the OH footing it for me. Should I worry?

As long as she properly foots it IE feet curled up the bottom pressing onto the base of the sides. Makes all the difference. The amount of other halfs who just hold the ladder and stand there aren't really doing much good!

I use to get OH to hold ladder but I got the moans from them. The bag of sharp sand works fine as does stand off as the ladder has longer rang on wall and also doesn't rest on the guttering. Works for me, currently using ladder in between rain/wind past few days doing some outside painting.
