Do you turn the shower off whilst lathering up?

Been having a conversation with my hubs... it drives him mad that I leave the shower running whilst I "Lather" up with soap, shampoo, conditioner etc...
Yesterday I didn't, I actually turned the shower off whilst I did this as we didn't have much hot water and it was horrid - by the time I'd finished lathering my skin was practically dry and it wasn't pleasant running the sponge around.
So, I am interested if I am the odd one out leaving the shower running the whole time I am in there, or if hubs is the odd one out for turning it off midway.

Cannot see the point of turning the water off for this reason it seems stupid to me !0

Lots of people turn the shower off as it can be the most water using thing in the home and if you are on a meter and have a large family that all shower it can end up costing a fair bit.
I don't turn mine off because my shower is on the way out and only gets warm after about 5 minutes of running the water so I really don't dare to turn it off for a short amount of time.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.

Like Gothicfairy (Fab name!) I also don't dare turn it off. I have a mixer tap system and the thought of having to get it back on and to the right temp with shampoo running all over my head and face doesn't appeal at all.
BUT if I had a nice shiny new shower that comes on and off at the twist of a button I probably would.0 -
Thank you for the replies so far... It would be interesting to get a balance of replies from both men and women as I am guessing men would be more likely to turn the shower off midway?
I have also posted on a baby forum that I visit and so far, 24 said no, they leave it running and only 2 have said they'd turn it off..! (All women).0 -
Both hubby and I turn the shower off whilst lathering up.
I wet my body and my exfoliating gloves so I don't need the water running all the time to get a good lather.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Mine comes on ice cold for a while, then red hot, then normal. You would get a few seconds of frostbite & scalding before a rinse if you tried that in mine.0

Tried it once, practically burnt myself when I switched it back on as scalding hot water came out (followed by freezing cold water). So no, never again. If I need to switch it off for whatever reason, I get out and run it again before I get back in.0

If a man does that he was probably in the Navy; if he doesn't turn the water on at all and just shakes talc over his head - he was a submariner
:D

If it came back on at the same temperature instantly and without having to turn a dial 400 times then yes. But my shower doesn't, so no0
