Exposed security tag injured my baby

Hi there, hoping someone can help me with this one.
Going to omit a few details just in case there are any company reps lurking.
Bought a garment of clothing for our baby from a store which specialises in baby/childrens items and clothing. Clothed baby in this item, during which time noticed baby was a bit more tearful than usual. Went to change baby and found an exposed security pin (i.e. the other half of a security tag which is essentially a 12mm long tack with a very sharp point) caught up in the material. Also noticed that baby's skin had been scratched in the location.
Obviously a bit shaken up as the consequences could have been far more serious.
Have already had dialogue with the company but not satisfied with response so far.
What do you guys think and what are my options?

Thanks for your responses, just to answer the points made -
They've basically said sorry, we'll try not to have it happen again and offered me some vouchers.
I actually haven't got a compo head on about it, I'd just rather there wasn't a 'next time'. Feel like if I accept vouchers I'll basically be saying it's ok for them to put these tags in baby/childrens clothes with the possibility of this happening again, perhaps worse next time.
Like I say though, looking for opinions to gauge against.0 -

Whilst I sympathise that your baby was scratched by this pin, this ^^ is the most pertinent part of your post. 'Could have'. They weren't though, thankfully. An apology is perhaps in order, but mistakes happen.
I could be rather less sympathetic and suggest that it's up to the parent to check the baby's clothes before the baby's dressed..."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Back in the old days when terry nappies were used, kids were forever getting jabbed by nappy pins. But that was the parents' fault so that was OK..."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Well you could be, but I think that'd be a bit judgemental and rather unrealistic - unless you keep your baby's clothes in the same drawer as your drawing pins and nails.0 -

Fair point. You would have KNOWN about the pins though when you bought the nappies....0 -

Maybe you're right, maybe it's a lesson for us to double check things and just count it as a near-miss.
I guess my feeling is why would a retailer be happy to put those kinds of tags on a baby garment? I dunno, I think that's the point I can't get my head around - that in their response they're pretty much happy to continue doing it and they'll take their chances.0 -

the shop puts the tags on for a reason which is so they dont go walk abouts, all shops put tags on clothing, supermarkets do it with high value alcohol
what more was you expecting ?
why not accept the vouchers and just move on0
