Anniestar - Sorry to hear you're in a dark place just now. Hugs and best wishes to get you through as quickly as possible x
RosyRed – enjoy your new toy when it arrives. My machine is very old and very basic. By the way, what is a baby tag blanket please?
Cat – lots of best wishes to you xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

<<Hugs>> to all who are feeling blue today and best wishes to all celebrating.I have been a busy bee today I went and got all my food essentials then I rummaged around in the freezer and found some chicken drumsticks so defrosted them I was going to coat them with that BBQ chicken stuff but after serching the shops found its no longer stocked locally so I cam home and bunged some sage and onion stuffing into the food mixer and ground that up with some galic and mixed herbs and coated with flour ,egg and stuffing mix the drumsticks and cooked them Smelt delish and cheaper than a packet mix.I also made a quiche with cheesey pastry and filled it with eggs, onions chopped red peppers and red leicester cheese.I also found three chipolatas in the freezer which I cooked and cut into strips to decorate the quiche with.So instead of going out to lunch tomorrow with my brother, and my sis-in-law we will have a big salad with savoury bits. I made a creme caramel which is in the fridge and also I did some stewed fruit and custard as well.
So its been a busy baking day today.I am shortly leaving to drive up to Stanstead to pick my brother up as he lands just after 8 tonight.I am so looking forward to seeing him.
I am glad he will be here tomorrow as it would have been my late OHs 78th birthday so it will be lovely to have some company.
The boys are all back at school, and DGS Henry was full of his school trip. Tomorrow DGS Ben does his R.E. exam so I have my fingers crossed for him.
I hope everyone has had a good day today, 'internet was playing up this morning so this was the first time I managed to get online
Cheers chums

Hi y'all,
Phew, Mondays are always so busy! Did laundry and lunches before work and cleaned the house from top to bottom to get rid of the weekend fug after work. I'm going out tonight and I bet it will look like a pig sty again when I get back LOL
The Mathlettes have come home and all gone out again so I'm enjoying a restorative peaceful pint and a late afternoon sun-bask in the conservatory before cracking on with dinner.
Dinner tonight:
Quorn bake dug out of the perma frost in the freezer with lots of veggies and potatoes.
NO PUDDING! I awaiting the cries and complaints when they get home, but I've gained 3lbs last week so we all have to suffer. LOL
I will try and get home at a reasonable hour tonight. I stayed out far to late last night and you know when you go to bed too late on a work night and try to force yourself to turbo sleep and end up tossing and turning until four:cool: well that was me. I've looked like the wreck of the Hesperus all day:eek:
Enjoy what's left of the day, MATH xLife's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -
Evening All
Good luck to all the exam takers and happy birthday to baby BB.
Hugs to those not feeling too good.
Busy day at work today, didn't stop all day! Made a few phone calls during my break to Estate Agents who are coming to value the house this week. Need to sell this house as it's far too big. There are 3 bedrooms here that I never go in unless we have folk to stay! Went to look at a couple of houses on Friday and have got the 'bug'! I am interested in a house that is just about derelict. I have spoken to the lady that owns it and her response was quite positive but there hasn't been any change since last year. Took the bull by the horns and phoned the council today (environmental health as they evicted the lady because the house was in such a state) and they have noted my interest as the case will be going to Solicitors soon. A big job but would be a beautiful house and just the project I need. Fingers crossed.
Left overs for tea from Saturday, turned the fajitas into enchiladas which were very tasty. My bed stripped and washed but it's hung on the racks due to more rain. Have put DS2s tents away now they are dry and put some suitcases in the loft. Just going up to make up my bed.
Hope you all have a good evening - Monday's nearly over! Take care. XX0 -
Evening all!! 4 day week for me this week which i am so glad about!
Worked, went to sainsbobs after work picked up a lot of reduced bits for the freezer things like Ciabttas, some lovely looking haddock fishcakes, and bits. Spent more than i intended but thats because the things that were stickered less on the shelves went through the till more. Plus a few impulse buys that weren't really needed...But still things that we will eat and won't go to waste
Managed 20 mins on my exercise bike today, hoping to do another 20 mins tomorrow.
Waiting for OH to get home so we can have dinner (burgers - he reckons he needs 3!! - i'm being sensible, 1 burger with roll and a few chips.) Then easy night of reading my book and painting my nails tonight
