    More info needed.

    1. What other assets do you have?
    2. When will you need the cash?
    3. Do you have income or are you looking for this to produce an income for you?
    4. How old are you and what are your plans for retirement?

Thanks for all your feed back and advise regarding this just to respond to some questions.

1 i have 3 propertys that i own probably totaling 1.2 million and have no debts against them. i also own 4 cars outrigfht about 130k worth
2.i dont realy need the cash for day to day living and its been sat in a instant savings account for 3 months.
3 yes i have a income of 5k per month that i can easaly live of#
4 I am 36 and have mad no plans about retirement althou i do own 2 aditional property that i rent out.

Can we ask why you moved it from a savings account where it was presumably earning some interest to a current account where it presumably earns none?

.....its quite amazing that someone who has accumulated £600,000 has it in a current account.....in order to amass such a sum you must have more financial knowledge

Could be inheritance. In the original poster's shoes, at that age with that much money I would see an IFA (or two to compare the advice/options) without hesitation.
