Just been down the road for milk etc. Windy and chilly here - pity I was hoping to get into the garden:(
I woke up this morning with a crazy idea of switching round two rooms
study - currently upstairs and sewing room - downstairs.
Not sure what made me think of it.
Apart from the thought of moving all the furniture/stuff - the downstairs room would make a good study (actually I can visualise it as a really nice space), but upstairs might be more tricky to fit things in.
Then there is the time in between with stuff everywhere:eek:
So would it be worth it in the long run? Think I need another coffee:rotfl:0 -
Sounds like you've already talked yourself into it, crafty. If I'm not sure how things will fit, I draw the shape of the room on graph paper and cut out the bits of furniture to scale. I can then move them around virtually, to see if it works. It sounds like a good opportunity to declutter and deep clean two rooms, too. I know what you mean about the work and the 'in-between' stage, though. Would you need to decorate?0

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Actually the graph paper and cut-out is a good idea and I really only need to do it for the upstairs room.
That's what is making me hesitate - is the picture of how downstairs could look stopping me from seeing the snags about putting the craft stuff upstairs?0 -
CBA to do anything, much more fun on the internet. Can anyone fling a fluffy mule?Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0

Morning all
Gorgeous photo, pigpen - she's just right!
Hugs, jinky. Had a look at DS1's room this morning (he's gone off to Liverpool with friends) and I'm not happy with stuff I've found. He hates me going up there, but I shall insist now (and withhold money unless I'm happy). Won't be a pleasant conversation when he's back, but needs must.
Glad this week's done with. I had a good night's sleep and a lie-in and feel like I've got a bit of energy back. Lots to do this weekend, too (and I hadn't planned on fitting in some stuff in DS1's room , but can't pass on the opportunity), so I've got to be careful not to overdo it. At least I'm not out tonight, but DH has been quite supportive this week so I may stay up for him. He's helping out at the club tonight.
Things at work have gone ok and it looks like the hard work is paying off, but it won't get any easier for a while yet.
List for today:
DW
laundry - collect, sort, wash, dry, put away
budget
planning for DS2's birthday on Thursday
shopping
lunch
tea
bath
I don't really have a clear plan in my head and that's dangerous. Must work out what to get DS2 and go from there, so this list is bound to get longer.
I also want to do a bit of planning for half-term, as we're going away on Saturday for a week and it's DS2's party on the day after we come back. May take a list into the bath to get things clearer, so I don't fritter the weekend away.
Have a lovely Sunday, everyone. x
BTW, has anyone heard from Mrs B? I hope she's ok.0 -
Sorry, mumof2 - busy flinging mules at own head - on reflection, probably not hard enough as I'm still sitting here.
crafty - my mum's idea, so I can't take credit for it. It's saved me a lot of aching muscles over the years, though. She needed it when she moved from Germany to join me over here, as she went from a spacious flat to an OAP bungalow and could only take what she had space for. Did a complete declutter mission without having ever seen the place - I just provided the measurements and did the prep. Happy days.0 -
Just back from my holiday, a week in Morocco, nicely relaxed.
have only read the last few posts, so hope everyone is well and not overdoing things.
Now I have a mountain of washing to get done, took dogs for a run as DS1 did not walk them much whilst we were away, poor things, they were very excitable.
lots of flying to do this coming week as it seems the boys only washed up their things and vacuumed the living room.0
