Are you deluded? I don't know how anyone can claim that Opera is in any way lightweight when it includes a subpar Email client, a subpar BitTorrent client and a subpar IRC client amongst other things.
It must be pretty buggy if it's always adding random forward slashes to everything you post. Have you reported it to the developers?0 -
IE9 60+ fps
Firefox 8 fps0 -

With Firefox 4, it's become a lot closer to Opera with speed. Made the biggest difference on the netbook, as it's more geared towards being a media machine and so has a decent graphics card.
For comparison, Opera gets 11fps on mine for the test, but is quite obviously a fast browser. Imagine when Opera gets hardware acceleration - it'll have changed pages before you even have clicked on a link!0 -
opera 11 fps
IE7 - won't run......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

But it's still v slow loading many ordinary websites over the last week or two......0 -
FF4.0.1 = 60+ FPS
IE9 = 60+ FPS
Chrome 12.0.742.30 = 11 FPS
Opera 11.10 = 13 FPS0 -
I think hammyman perhaps scored as badly as me...12 fps!
FF4 on Ubuntu 11.04 on a core2quad with an HD4350 video card.
what went wrong there then?!
I never loaded the proprietary drivers for ATI when running the latest Ubuntu, and found it was a much better experience compared to previous versions with either driver set.
For reference, the netbook has a HD3200.0 -
