How fast is your browser? Hardware acceleration

Can test the new hardware acceleration in Firefox 4, Chrome, and IE9:

I'm getting a respectable 35fps on my netbook using Firefox, and normal plugins enabled.

    And why does it matter? Unless you're playing 3D games in your browser do you really think it matters a jot?

    Also this is for direct2D (not WebGL for 3D), so you don't actually know what you're talking about. The hardware acceleration speeds up normal page rendering, so benefits anyone using a hardware accelerated browser:

    "Content acceleration speeds up rendering the actual page content, such as the text, images, CSS borders, etc. Content acceleration is also used to speed up the 2D HTML canvas. On Windows Vista/7, we use Direct2D for this and it has been activated in this new beta."

    Just for the fun of it,

    Firefox 4 60+ fps :j.
    Chrome 11 14fps :(

    and yet Firefox 4 still runs like it has it's legs tied together, while Chrome is smooth, fast and snappy.

    FF4 on Ubuntu 11.04 on a core2quad with an HD4350 video card.

    what went wrong there then?!

    Hardware acceleration switched off in options??

    I get 12 fps with it off, 60+ with it on.
