Can test the new hardware acceleration in Firefox 4, Chrome, and IE9:

I'm getting a respectable 35fps on my netbook using Firefox, and normal plugins enabled.

And why does it matter? Unless you're playing 3D games in your browser do you really think it matters a jot?0

Idle curiosity; remember when you used to do things for fun rather than look for excuses to show-off your sunny personality?
Also this is for direct2D (not WebGL for 3D), so you don't actually know what you're talking about. The hardware acceleration speeds up normal page rendering, so benefits anyone using a hardware accelerated browser:
"Content acceleration speeds up rendering the actual page content, such as the text, images, CSS borders, etc. Content acceleration is also used to speed up the 2D HTML canvas. On Windows Vista/7, we use Direct2D for this and it has been activated in this new beta."
