I would expect that the driving instructor would not be willing to. The counter part shows endorsements that you have, with out it he does not know if you are banned. Ring them and check.
How old is your licence they only last 10 years now.
I thought provisional licences only lasted for one year, or they were when God and I were at school together.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Hi. I am a fully qualified Instructor and can inform you that both parts MUST be kept together at all times. Pointless in my opinion! But hey, I don't make the rules. If I cannot see both parts of the licence when I first meet a pupil, then I simply DO NOT take them out, as I have no way of knowing if they are legal, or not? You will need both parts of your licence to take your tests also.0
