Have you got a direct relationship with the landlord. If I was getting this off my LA I'd be straight onto my LL.0

If you have an address it may well be worth writing him a letter. Or asking the LA for his details.0

(ok that was OTT) you get my drift
They might be thinking that, but even if any of these situations having a key or not is of no use.0 -
Do you have a copy of the email you sent to the letting agent with a copy of the key? I personally would print this out, with a covering letter to both the letting agent and the landlord with a copy of the key. I dont see why they were het up over it?
Out of interest what were they doing so close to the property to see this? Were they trying to come in without your consent? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
They would need to enter the property. Remind them of your right to peaceful occupation and that they wont be allowed to show any prospective tenets around if they carry on with there current course of action.0

I can only conclude that the letting agents must think I was born yesterday! I saw somebody who looked like a letting agent earlier today when I was exiting my building - he appeared to be showing prospective tenants around. This particular letting agents seem to deal with at least 50% of the rentals in my building (ie 40 or more flats) so I guess they are always buzzing around. They are known to be bullies.
This is just unnecessarily aggressive behaviour, though.
Presumably I now have to move? Or can I just continue paying rent and sit tight?0 -

A while ago there were some major issues with the boiler. It turned out that the majority of the people in the building had similarly defective boilers. Of course I had to contact the letting agents to get the boiler fixed. They were so rude and aggressive during my call that I was stunned. They seemed to imply that the defective boiler was personally my fault and my fault alone and they went on and on about how if it was discovered that it if it was my fault the boiler wasn't working there would be "penalties."
These are new built flats that have been built without very much care. When the toilet packed up about a year ago and I needed to call a plumber I didn't even bother to call the letting agents as I felt unable to cope with their disgusting attitude. Instead I footed the entire, substantial, plumbers' bill myself.0 -
Personally I dont know how you have put up with thier attitude for 3 years. Is there a possibility that you could find somewhere else, away from these idiots? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most?
