Non-paying bidders

I don't sell a great deal on Ebay, but seem to get an unfair proportion of non-paying bidders. The latest has just said they 'forgot they placed the bid, and sourced the item elsewhere' so annoying. Is there anything I can do other than wait to open a non paying bidder dispute? Just want to get it relisted asap, and not have to pay again for listing or final value fee.
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

If you want your FVFs back then you need to do the full NPB. If you get a lot of time wasters make sure you have your seller preferences set to exclude those with two ro more strikes.

The one before this was the 'my son bid on my account without my permission excuse', and he admitted this wasn't the first time it had happened. This time they had 22 feedback but all good so wasn't unduly concerned. Annoyinly there were ten watchers, if only one of the others had bid :o
Thanks for the advice. Have to see what happens I guess.

If more sellers did the full NPB then your first problem buyer may well have not been able to bid on your item at all.

Is there anything the buyer can do to speed this process up if she chooses to be helpful? Can she retract her bid?

You could do a mutual cancellation, but if they were stupid enough to forget they bid, then I wouldn't trust them to hit the right button! (and if they "accidentally" press decline, you'll get lumbered with all your fees!)

Always best to be patient and do a full non paying bidder dispute.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Also if they get 2 npb strikes they block themselves from bidding on many auctions.

I've seen one thank you and it is no more complicated than managing to find an item, click on buy and then click on confirm to bid.

So no, absolutely no mutuals, I agree with pinkshoes if they are daft enough to buy something bt accident they are daft enough or malicious enough to lose the seller their fees. If all sellers did the full NPB on all these time wasters they would soon have to give up on ebay.

Well, one button, that says accept. No other options to be found.
So it a buyer is too thick to pay, they certainly couldn't find how to refuse.

Why even give them the option though, do all sellers a favour and get these people banned.
