we too booked this in december, and booked our flights for 30 April which Helitours then cancelled, they had given us new date of 30th May , but I rang up earlier last week to cancel this date, and they advised us to ring back in two weeks.

noticed last night on here that company gone into administration, so rang Nat West today, and explained what has happened, spoke to a lovely lady, who is sending us a claim form, and asked us to provide copy documents regarding our flight, but anything else that we have.

we paid by Visa Debit, so hopefully we will get a refund.

I was informed much the same today by halifax, just pop in with all the details. Fingers crossed! (even if it does just get swallowed up by my debts!)

Received my docs from Nat West today for my claim, and one of the points is to provide evidence that Lothian Helitours have gone into adminstration.

I have printed a page from their website, but has anybody else received or located any information about this company.

    thanks for your help

What did Nat West say when you asked them?

Although I used my debit card, it was through paypal. My refund was issued within 2 days from Halifax and a dispute raised with paypal. I've just checked paypal and the resolution centre states they are still awaiting a reply from the seller but its in their hands now so hopefully your refund shouldn't take too long ;)

My lovely friend booked a flight for today for her boyfriend to fly over his beloved football ground as axmas present ( her father told her a they set off that he had in fact booked her to be on the same flight ) To say they were like a box of frogs with excitement is the understatement of the year - they are both 30 ! )

She booked the hotel, paid the petrol,( we are in cardiff ) arranged time off to arrive and only then did they discover what has happened. They have recieved no communication from administrators,or the company informing them.

I'll show her these threads on what to do on there return tommorrow

I could cry for them :(

I dont think anybody has received any notification regarding this company, and I only found out via this site.

however I have had some luck, my refund from Nat West has been credited to my account, so did not take long at all

  • Hi everyone,
my OH bought me a helicopter trip for my 30th in April. I went online today to book the trip and was appalled to discover that they are no longer trading. OH paid by PayPal but money was debited straight form his bank account rather than via credit/debit card. PayPal do not want to know and nor do the Clydesdale bank. He has now been on the phone for SIX hours back and forward and still no resolution in sight. Has anyone else been in exactly this position and managed to get money back?
    Thanks for your help,
    Donna
