Worried about my cat:(

Hmm I wonder if you puss had arthritus (can't spell that!) or pulled a muscle or something then. I guess you can make a better assessment when the pain killer wears off...Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Well she's back to her usual self as if nothing had happened, asking for food and running around the room like a lunatic!
I don't know what it was but her hearing is excellent, the slightest thing and her ears will be twitching:)
I suspect she may have had a small fall but I don't suppose we'll ever know for sure.Still - just happy she's Ok now

More good news! Glad to hear it TiaMaria. Certainly sounds now like a small fall, bump, or gyppy-tum.
Hope the purr persists for many years to come! xx0 -
Glad to hear your cat is doing well. It could also be cardiomyopathy. Our cat had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and his back legs went like this and was possibly in pain for a very short time (maybe 1/2 hour max then seemed fine). We didn't know this at the time, not until he had a massive clot released months later which stuck at his back and he lost the use of his back legs and other organs. If caught early enough heart problems can be treated. Next time you go to the vets get them to listen to both left and right sides of the heart for any murmur although I was told by a cat heart specialist (yes they exist!) that you really need to know what you are listening for. Hopefully, it was simply as you suspect - a fall causing painful bruising.0

Hi Everyone
Am resurrecting this thread - unfortunately my little one is showing these symptoms again, it's been 16 months, I could take her to the emergency vet but I guess they won't be able to do anything much more than they will tomorrow morning:(
Same thing exactly, dragging right back leg, not eating or drinking, no energy, sad to see her like this:(0 -
hope it sorts itself like last time0
