Dispute with O2
Hi all,
I'm new here and hoping for some advice.
I won't bore you with the details too much but back in October 2004 I took on a contract with O2 for my mobile phone. From the very beginning there was a dispute over the account and letters were going back and forth until February 2006 - I have received nothing since!
It has now come to light that it has gone on my credit report as a 'bad mark' which has stopped me opening up a savings account today.
My question is, do I contact O2 and ask that they remove this due to the lack of communication for the past five years (but risk opening a can of worms and them demanding the money again) or simply stick it out for the next year or so until it comes off of my credit report (after seven years isn't it?)
Thanks in advance.
Brad

I think it's 6 years, not 70

Thanks Grumbler
So would I need to contact O2 or does it just come off the Credit Report on its own?0 -
I think after 6 years it comes of the credit file naturally.0
