egg/barclaycard advice pls

    very strange that... when i called he took the card number off me about three times and had to consult a manager as he said there was an 'error' then told me about them being taken over, so that lead me to believe it wouldnt accept on the computer due to being in the same company.
    I'd be interested to know the outcome!

    I'm still waiting for it to clear on my clarity card!

    Well, I decided to contact Egg about it and was told the payment appeared to have been accepted. I wrote to them again reiterating the fact I assumed the transaction had been made in error as I didn't think it was possible to transfer balances between the two cards any more. I got a swift reply saying transfers are no longer permitted, but as they've had payment there may be no barrier for it on this occasion. :undecided

    I do wonder if Barclaycard are going to turn around and say they'll have to charge me interest on the transfer after all, but suppose all I can do is wait and see now.

    I have tried to sort it out!
