Barclaycard reveal my account information

I have a barclaycard account and they send me an email to let me know that the credit card statement is reasy but they don't include any personal information.

I suggest you pass this on to Barclays if you haven't deleted it already. It doesn't sound quite right to me.

Amex notify you when statement is ready, but only disclose the balance in the main body, no other info.

Can you possibly change your preferences in the account online at all, so that information isn't in the emails? Just an idea....

I have paperless billing via Barclaycard and receive a text saying the statement for my card ending in XXXX is ready.
I am sure that I updated to this option via the website as I have haven't spoken to Customer Services for years.

Thanks to all of the recent postings. Like Catfish, I thought that that was a major difference, especially as my ISP, along with many others, I suspect, don't use encrypted passwords to log on.
I appreciate that there is risk invoved with everything, and the only way to avoid it completely is not to take the first breath. I still think that the postcard test is the simplest one for secuty. At least if an envolope has been tampered with, you have some idea that the contents may have been seem. I'm also aware that my Post lady reads all my mail - she's my wife.
