Childrens Passport Question

Hi, I did a search on the forums, but couldn't really find the answer.
My exH is taking our 2 DS to spain this summer for a holiday with his partner and her 2 DS.
My eldest has an expired passport, my youngest has no passport.
He is applying for them. He has asked me for the supporting documents (DS birth certs and DS1 old passport, and my passport details)
The question I have, however, is he has put his address on the application form (for where the kids normally live).......My kids stay with him overnight 1 night a week.....spending the rest of the week with me. Is this correct?
Thank you for your advice.

I believe the address used on the form should be their main residence. When I had this problem with DS1 (after his dad had told me he'd been offered positions abroad!) I rang the Passport Office and found them very helpful. Then I told his dad that I was quite happy to apply for the passport myself thank you very much!
Do you have a residency order?Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

I am the PWC....we were divorced about a yr ago...there was a consent order. He has PR for both of the children.
He wants to take them abroad. so he is applying for the passports.
I will speak to him later when he returns the children.Slimming world new starter 2/1/17:D:DWeight loss so far 5 stone 8 lbs

I think you should apply but get him to pay for the passports. The children's permanent address should be on their passports.0

As Mojisola said.0

Your address is not on a passport, you don't tell the passport office when you move so it is of little concequence where they are sent. The only address is the friend or relative boxes you fill out yourself.0

Agreed. You fill in the forms, he can make out a cheque to pay for the passports.
Or does your ex- think that if the passports were sent to your house, you might refuse to hand them over?0 -
No, it's nothing like that. I don't think he has read the instructions properly.
He is due back in an hour or so...I will speak to him then.Slimming world new starter 2/1/17:D:DWeight loss so far 5 stone 8 lbs

The address included on the application form will be where the passports are sent.
The information is not included on the passport itself (and you do not need to inform the passport agency of a change of address fyi.) Just renewed DD1's passport last week which was returned with an information booklet containing this information re: address.0 -
Spoken to exH....he is not willing to change the address on the application form.
Oh well. I did try to explain to him.......MEN !!!!!!!Slimming world new starter 2/1/17:D:DWeight loss so far 5 stone 8 lbs

In fairness I don't really blame him - it makes little difference which address goes on the form, it's more relevant as the address of the applicant than the address of the children (as he is applying on their behalf) and also he would have to fill out a new form to change the address as you're only allowed to blank out minor mistakes. So if he's had someone to fill in as a countersignatory etc... then he'll have to go through that whole rigmarole again. I've just had passports back for DD and DS and the application forms were a nightmare just because of the pressure to get it right!!
I would say that if everything's amicable between the two of you then this really isn't something to worry about.
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0
