    Yep - it's happening to me. IE8 and Windows 7

    Only the MSE site though - a bit odd.

    I think it started after a particular windows update was installed. But that may be a red herring

    The fix in the old post doesn't work

    Edit - and even more odd it doesn't happen on threads that I've posted to - like this one. Edit again - not universaly true

    Upgrade to IE9. It has fixed some of the known problems IE8 had.

    Because most developers suffer the pain of making sure their site is compatible with Microsoft browsers, even though those browsers don't fully comply with established web standards. Maybe the situation that causes this particular problem fell through the testing net! Not here to rant though.:)

    IE9 on Win7.
