Pre-approved Barclaycard - worried about being closed down just like other people

I don't want to burst your bubble, however, they are known for closing the account up to a month after you have activated it, and started using it. I've had mine a month now, used it, then paid the balance off the following week, just in case.
Be very careful.
I will bear this in mind.
I assume that didn't happen to you then.0 -
Card activated.
The customer service agent didn't say anything about my card being closed down, like other people have experiencedwhen they call to activate their card they have mentioned that the card has been closed down.
They tried to sell me other stuff which I politely declined.
No need to go down the sub-prime route!
Excellent!
Glad you got the Platinum card in the end, bet those years of running your current account so well all seem all the more worth it now
Oh, and just had to say, told you sohehe
Enjoy your new plastic  (sensibly, ofc)Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Glad I don't need to go down the sub-prime route. I also got other pre-approved offers like loans, etc... which I refused.
Applied in branch, and got an immediate acceptance and a generous credit limit.
Despite the pre-checker saying 70-80%, I got it.
Haven't seen you on here for a while, how have you been?0 -
Yeah been good, thanks for asking.
Not such the frequenter of these forums as I used to be, only part time now
Landlord has served notice as she's selling up so moving this month. Fun and games. Good thing really, as the flat I'm in is a bit rubbish.
Oh and nice suprise for my OH in April - he was turned down for a consolidation loan so I managed to get a second one from Zopa for him at 11.5% APR! Niice. Although I'm charging him 13.9% APR, naturally.
