Sky owe me money and won't pay

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me, Sky set me up incorrectly with two accounts for the same house and this resulted them taking over £100 a month for Sky services. Finally I got the accounts sorted, but it turns out they owe me £750. Sky acknowledged the debt to me and have been promising me they will pay the money back by cheque for the last 5 weeks. I have constantly written and phoned them to get the money back and i'm constantly being told in writing and on the phone that i'll get the money back within the next few days... Five weeks later i'm still waiting for my money. They've given me sky at half the price for the next six months as compensation, but they just won't give me the money. What can I do as I need the money desperately and Sky just keep promising that its on its way.

Can anyone advise what to do?

Thanks

Seems like you've done everything you can with sky i would advise contacting sky by writing as a one final warning letter advising them if you do not receive a refund within 14 days you will take this to ombudsman (i think its ofcom but im not sure) also if you havent already id contact the CEO personally i think the email address is jeremy.darroch@bskyb.com and get him to sort it i'd also say your going to ombudsman/trading standards as well.

If none of these work act on it go to the ombudsman and file a complaint passed that you would have to take it to court if you get no satisfaction from the ombudsman but yeah sorry i cant offer any more advise it seems like you've exhausted a lot your options :(.

As above but I personally wouldn't bother involving the third party just send a "notice before action" giving 10 days for you to receive payment before you commence action in the county court.
    You will receive your payment.

But in the unlikely event you do not then after 10 days simply goto here and commence action:

Thanks both of you, it's just so frustrating having to do this for weeks on end especially given my current circumstances of being in debt as I could use this money to pay off some of my bills. This is all completely new to me, so i'm having to learn fast.

I'll read through all of the information from that website, as I don't know anything about giving notice as i've not done it before. Fingers crossed.
