And IDS's office will then pass your letter onto "his decision making monkeys" who will reply to you.0

IDS won't actually reply to this, as it will just be passed on to whatever DWP office you are dealing with.
If you wish to write to an MP and complain about something, you'd be better writing to your own constituency MP, who generally do try to help.

It's also worth taking into account that any 'decision making monkeys' at the DWP will only be applying the rules as set by the government of the day and the minister, which would be IDS anyway lol

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

Chances are if you raise some incredibly good points, that they cant dispute, they wont even bother replying at all.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -

I deal with letters from MP's on a fairly regular basis. The MP asks for our comments, we reply and the MP's secretary copies what we say into a letter on headed paper.
Depending on what your area of concern is, you may be better seeking a meeting with a member of management, your local councillor or the Ombudsman.I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.

You can.
Other posters are simply pointing out (correctly) that you are most unlikely to get any meaningful reply.0 -

Because the 'decision making monkeys' have far more knowledge of the day to day operation of the benefits system than he does.Gone ... or have I?0 -
