I have just received a statement of an old ISA I opened years ago with Virgin I think. The deal was something like invest a minimum of £80 by such and such a date and get a free case of wine.
Well, I did so and after the wine arrived and we drank it I more or less forgot it.
Well, I have just received a statement from Fidelity who took over the Virgin ISA business at some stage and it's now worth £139
I wish all my "forgotten" investments had performed as 'well' as that ... then I might have been able afford a bottle of that government stuff they've been hiding in their cellars
