I admit that like yours it's an extreme example but I think that social housing should be available to people on Low incomes whether they want to save for a house or not.
You could probable get a 2-bed terrace for £180k where I am now about 18 miles away. Do you think someone on £15k would be in a position to save for that and commute 18 miles a day?
I wouldnt really call 18 miles a day a commute.0 -

For the umpteenth time, if they are on that wage, they will be getting help of some forum with their housing costs, especially with the costs you talk of.
For the umpteenth time, I take issue with then having more and more kids and putting themselves into a situation where they are overcrowded. It's not good for the kids either. I've already stated 3 or more.
I don't know how much clearer I can be really. I'm not sure it really matters how clear I am on the matter. It seems you are just going to try to go round and round in circles however clear I make the position.
You keep asking me the same question, but when I ask you if they should just have as many kids as they like, you say no, and agree with myself. We've already been here some time back.
I think you and me are in agreement as I said I think there should be a limit but I can't agree with Jimmy because he wouldn’t give the person on minimum wage a council house unless they were saving to buy there own.0 -

Will this land ever come to a point were there is no more room to build council houses.0
