Please can I ask why I need to take the kids car seats out?
I have isofix seats and wasn't aware I needed to do this?
Thank you
if you leave a kids seat in, then they cannot test the adult belt; hence an advisory notice.:grouphug:

SNAP!!!Happened to me, years ago tho, wouldn't go these days.0 -
I took my car to them for an oil change and the guy started to reel off a whole load of problems my car had. I really lost my rag with the guy and told him that he thinks he can take the Michael because I'm a woman. The waiting room was full of people and the guy told me to take my car and not to pay for the oil change  I would not step foot back in the place.0

I had my car serviced and MOTd the other week, got told off by the mechanic for booking an interim service rather than a full? even though the car barely gets used...Told me all 4 tyres need replacing soon as they are all at 3mm, even though they were replaced about 12months ago and have maybe done 3000 miles max?
Told me that only my brake pads needed changing soon, So i booked in at another garage - they called me and said my discs needed changing and that it should have been spotted by kwik fit (they showed me the old discs, and they did look pretty bad), they measured the tyres and said they were all fine, didn't even get an advisory??0 -
Here's the thing.
Kwik-Fit know that younger drivers will always use them because it's nice and handy on the high street and younger drivers have not built up any rapport with any local garages yet. Furthermore, younger drivers are the ones targetted to agree to the needless repairs although they will ask every customer, of course they will. Older drivers will not be duped. Unfortunately, it's perfectly legal and the equivalent rip-offs probably happen some way or another with every other type of high street product.0 -

It must vary depending on the branch you use. After 25 years of being ripped off by main dealers and small independent garages, and being treated as an imbecile because I'm a woman, I started using my local Kwik Fit two years ago after numerous recommendations. For the first time in all the years I've been driving, I have found a garage that doesn't over charge, and doesn't try to get me to have loads of unnecessary work carried out. I recently had a problem with my air con, and thought it just needed re-gassing. When the system wouldn't stay gassed, they found that there was a leak, which they didn't have the equipment to repair, and not only did they not charge me for the diagnostic work, but they gave me a refund of the re-gassing charge without me even asking. Services and MOTs are carried out quickly, and above all, for the first time ever, I have found a garage that treats me with courtesy and respect and makes me feel that I am a valued customer. I would recommend the East Dulwich branch without hesitation.0

I certainly hope so, as Kwik Fit Say -Recharge or No Charge
Let Kwik Fit recharge your Air Con while-u-wait. We will replace and recharge lubricant and refrigerant levels in line with your manufacturer’s recommendation. If we cannot improve the coolest vent temperature from your car by more than 10% when measured in degrees Celsius - then you pay nothing at all.*

I would suggest next time you want a branded tyre fitted to the car (Michelin, Dunlop, Firestone etc) that you visit blackcircles or mytyres websites to get the actual cost of the tyre + local fitting. Then go back to Kwik Fit for a price.
The only time i have seen them to be reasonable, is when they have had the 4 tyres for 3 promotion.0 -
Never take your car to kwik fit.0

Thank you for that post, Growlybear.
