If it's about your report generally within a week.
If there are going to query everything including suggesting that rather than you it was someone older, wearing clothes you don't own then a few weeks later. Then they tell you they will be checking CCTV and you wonder if you will be sacked (haven't been yet but have put on weight so might not be a bad thing :rotfl:)0 -

Usually about a week or two later. I was asked "was it you driving car registration no, with long brown hair, wearing jeans and red top at 1.32pm?" Well of course it was me!! It is all on CCTV footage. I told them I could not dispute the fact it was me seeing as you have all the timings, etc. on my report, on the receipt, and on the CCTV of the burger place. Result as a consequence - no pay because I queried a wrong drink in a polite manner. Briefing notes said do not query drink, report completing said you should have queried. They will get you in the end one way or another!

Maybe not if you don't admit it was you - I didn't when something similar happened to me and they paid up. (Actually the description was nothing like me, so it probably wasn't me but the theory is sound - don't admit anything!)0 -
i know of how gap are also trying to be mean to its shoppers.
when looking at all the places that offer visits to a business..
eg all the restaurants owned by a burger company. i find it in a place they know that they can get the job allocated they lower the fee.
my town started off at X amount. and then because on the day of listing i scheduled visits there each time the prices lowered. i then avoided them one week and got a phone call where they offered a lil extra to get it done. so accepted it. the next oppertunity i ignored it as it was again lower (half the rate of other towns offering) so again i got a phonecall. i told them straight to visit it requires parket ticket, petrol etc and also as it takes X minutes to observe all the noted points. and then xx minutes to fill in report its slave labour.
2 weeks of more ignoring the listings for my town and accepting listings for other towns. they have now set it back to the higher rate.
it annoys me sometimes.. gap probably charge a set fee per report to restaurant yet fees to shoppers are variable0 -
Got a Pizza job soon.
Can someone please help me.. It says i'm allowed £12.50 reimbursement. However, i'm confused as to whether i have to order just a Pizza, or a Piazza AND a side order? I know the drink is optional but what about the side order?0 -

When I did mine last month I had to order a side order as well, and it specified on the instructions which sides you could pick from.0 -
the drink is optional for delivery orders, its not for collections ones. Why i have no idea, as no questions are asked about the drink.
But its pretty clear that you must order a starter and main, with a list of usually 3 starters to pick from.
good luck getting it all for under the reimbursement!0 -
Just to add, with the burger place and the queries. stores only have 2 MS's a month, they are given a 3 day window as to when you show up, so they know when to look out for you. You will probably be the only one who asks for a receipt that isn't wearing a suit, so they will instantly know who you are, and they will press the bell underneath the till to alert all the other staff to do things properly. This is about the time that the manager gets his lazy bum off the internet and out of the office to make a brief appearance on the floor.
If your report is less than perfect, they will check CCTV and query it BECAUSE the whole store gets a £1 per hour payrise for the month if they get 2 100% gaps in a month, the managers payrise being double that. Added to that, there is the incentive of a massive bonus paid to the store at xmas for the highest store in the area which inevitably goes on a free xmas party inc booze. So the incentive is there to scrutinise and pick fault if you don't give them a perfect score.
Don't take it personally if you get queried, the staff have a lot more to gain from the reports than you do, and if you do get annoyed with it, just remember, it is them who is going to be there polishing the stainless until 3 in the morning for minimum wage not you!
ps. this is not a dig, just info on how it is seen from the other side. I no longer work for the burger place and now do MSing for other companies, just thought it would help for people to get a different perspective.
ETA: one of the regular MSer's that used to come to the store forgot his receipt once, he came back and asked for a duplicate, when it couldn't be retrieved, he explained the he was MSing and needed a receipt for ANY meal that would mean he could get paid. He promised a perfect score if we could find him one. Never forget that day! You will probably find that most places don't give a fig for the rules that were made up in some head office in some far off distant land.0 -
Firstly please edit your post to remove client names, this is a requirement of the forum and also in the confidentiality clause of the contract.
Without wishing to be inappropriately harsh your post appears to be full of spelling errors and strange grammar,. If this is an example of your reporting style then mystery shopping is perhaps not for you.0
