Convert Euros here or abroad?

Hi all,

I am off to Lanzarote next week and was wondering where it would be best to convert our Euros, here or in Lanzarote?

The reason I ask is because when we were there in September it seemed as though you got a lot more Euro for your pound than we did at the time with exchanging in England.

I have searched but cannot find any info, so any help would be appreciated.

It's very difficult to generalise given such a wide variation in rates both here and there.

Certainly the best rate you can get there will be a whole lot better than the worst rate here

You probably won't get a definite answer - it's a question of hunting down the best rates.

Thanks for the reply, I think I will split it 50/50 and get half here and half there.

I've tried looking on a certain search engine but all I get are not appropriate to what I'm looking for!

Hi would you mind posting your findings on your return. We are also going to Lanzarote in 3 weeks and im also currently trying to find out if we are better off exchanging here or in Lanzarote.

Hi,

I will do, just out of interest what area are you going too? Different areas may offer different rates?
