The new Flightchecker is now fully functional. We've a few minor tweaks but otherwise it is working.
IT'll be launched properly this week - if you want a play and to feedback please do so
It is currently at
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/flightchecker_22212
However please don't post this link anywhere else on the site or anywhere else at all at the moment.
I want to keep the test limited, so its only for people who see it here for testing
Feedback would be great (ps i know that when you search all destinations, it only gives airport codes, we're looking at that)

I got the same message earlier
It seems to be working now0 -
Working okay for me thank you, will save me loads of time in the future.0

Looking good to me! I love the fact it searches more than one airline.
Brilliant!A penny saved is a penny gained0 -
Excellent
No problems at all
Always looking for cheap flights and to search through all the airlines & dates takes forever
Let's hope the rest of them want to join, as for Easyjet you won't be seeing E on the flightchecker if they did agree, there fares are always much higher than the others
Keep up the good work

Here's a strange result... When I searched for flights to Barcelona from East Midlands, for the period 1st to 31st May, the checker came up with only an outbound flight on 3rd May, but no inbound filghts.
A search from 1st April to 5th May, resulted in no flights at all... ie it did not pick up the 3rd May outbound flight at all.
When I searched 1st April to 3rd May with a variance of +/- 3 days, it came up with the original outbound flight on 3rd May AND an inbound flight on 5th May. Yet 5th May was within the parameters of the first search.
I have since run through this process again, with exactly the same result :-
Date Outbound Inbound
3rd May
14:05 - 17:15 £8.99
5th May
12:25 - 13:40 £8.99
For all that, this is a GREAT service, and of course the purpose of this trial run is to spot such wrinkles so they can be ironed out.
Fantastic!! (Haven't actually checked out Ryanair's site to see if the flights are still available... better get going....!!!!)I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Ignore me if I'm being obvious, but did you search on a particular price? If so, then perhaps the inbound flights were outside the scope of your search?
I'm only pointing this out because I did the same thing and was confused at first until the penny dropped.A penny saved is a penny gained0 -
Hi - yes I did... but both flights were the same price..... and within my criteria.... must just have been a rogue result, coz I've done several searches since then, without any funnies being thrown upI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
