Carphone Warehouse - Bad Service!!!
I'll keep this short and sweet
1. Brought a Nokia E5 from Orange online (November 2010) phone was okay ish (buggy) until I tried to update, computer connection does not work.
2. Took to orange shop, told to go to Carphone Warehouse (they have nokia engineer)
3. Gave phone to carphone warehouse to fix (I explained the problem in detail).
4. Get phone back, phone has been wiped, not attempt to fix it has been made.
5. Take phone back, explain problem again, ask them to fix it. Phone is wiped again, not fixed and given back.
6. Take phone back ask why not fixed. "Oh there are no updates for that phone". I give the shop assistant the date and version of the update released. Told the engineer is not available.
7. Go back ask for phone to be fixed again. They take it, give it back an hour later saying it can't be fixed in store as the computer connection does not work (I know I told you this several times!!!!!)
8. Phone taken to be sent back to nokia, no paperwork given, no estimate of how long, shop assistant starts to walk away until I ask if I can have a replacement phone. Some time later after much faff I'm handed a replacement phone, assistant walks away again until I ask if I need to sign anything etc. Told no.
9. Get a phone call the next day asking me to come in to sign paperwork for the repair. Manager mumbles "I should of done this yesterday". So I ask "Why didn't you do it yesterday?" - Answer "I couldn't that wouldn't be doing the right thing" - No idea what this means.
I'm now stuck waiting for nokia to replace my phone, with a %^^$ replacement phone. All along the way every shop assistant has wandered off or started texting / making phone calls whilst serving me.
No one has ever said, Oh I'm really sorry let me see what I can do for you?
I'm going to make a complaint to their head office, but where do I stand on the 5 bus journeys to and from town, and all the wasted time and the just plain rude staff?
