I doubt parcels are stored in a van for any length of time, unless you use a private courier company. As far as I'm aware they go straight to a depot / hub for sorting, at both ends (send/receive).0

In all walks of life there are dishonest people, it could have happened anywhere on the journey.0

The seller promised me to refund me, but has happened yet, and yet he keeps ignoring my messages (I believe).
Shall I go on Paypal and "Escalate this dispute to a PayPal claim"??
cheers0 -
Don't close the case until you have a refund as you cannot open another.
Which country did the item come from?
If you escalate the case, then you will have to send it back TRACKED, as hermum has said, there isn't a guaranteed Royal Mail service to do this. You will lose the case and your money unless you can prove delivery.0 -
ok, the product is from the USA
It's been 5 days now since I have opened the case, how long will it take until anything happens? And would I have to ship it back if I get a full refund? (Because the seller told me, that he will give me approx. 85% of the refund and I don't have to ship it back, which sounds reasonable to me.)

If he pays you 85% of the cost I'm assuming that he won't want you to send it back, you would have to clear that up with him before accepting it.
Will that be 85 % of the original payment & p&p?0 -
Yes, 85% from everything. But what exactly do I have to do? Just wait?0
