                    hi,
I got scammed but that doesn't matter right now. I have paid with paypal and have opened a dispute thing. Now what is going to happen? Will I receive my money? And if so, how long will it take?
In the case of returning the item I have received (empty box -.-), does anyone know a good courier site with very cheap prices to ship internationally? If possible under 5 Pounds
cheers

I'm presuming you opened an "item not as described" dispute??
You'll get a refund once you show it's been returned to sender, so use any courier that has international tracking!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0

That depends, you will need to give a few more details. How was it posted to you, is there a stamp price on it, that may prove that it was too light for the item paid for? Was it opened in customs or in transit?
As for prices for returning an empty box that would depend on where & how large.0
-
Overseas packages are charged at volumetric weight with most companies. That's the dimensions and actual weight, and of course it depends on the destination. It seems as though your package is very small if you think it can go for under a fiver? Go to parcelforce or royalmail.com, put the dimensions and weight in andthat will give you a good idea of pretty much the highest price you'll expect to pay.0
-
Well the final package is 24 x 16 x 9 (length, width, breadth respectively) and I would say it weighs around 800 gramm max. (maybe you know a place where I can check the weight for free? maybe post office?) So yea, it is pretty small, it is/was (supposed to be) a handheld system (psp go).
I have opened the dispute as "Described as new but actually used" and "Missing bits from preventing using the product" something like that.
 thanks everyone
€: And what would happen first, me sending back the item or me getting the refund?0
-
You would have to send it back tracked, yes the post office would weigh it for you but there isn't a tracked overseas service with RM, it only tracks to this country. Did you put in the dispute that you received an empty box or that parts were missing? Could it have been opened in transit?0
-
Do I have to have that tracking feature? Because they are way more expensive than the normal shippings. And to the package, that's what I thought first, maybe it could have been opened by some security checkers but then, why would they remove the handheld and send the rest to me, doesn't sound right to me. And also, I've looked at the booklets that were in the box and they clearly reveal, that this is a used box. One of the brochures was torn on a side, and the manual had light visible stains on it, which I think comes from some kind of sauce.
I am just wondering why the seller has done that, he had a good reputation on ebay..
 thanks hermun0

Did you contact the seller to say that part was missing? Maybe they got a return mixed up? Is it a lot of money, a seller with a good reputation isn't going to mess up that to scam someone.
Yes you do need to prove delivery to win a claim, especially if the seller as in your title has scammed you.0
-
I agree with Hermum, it does seem unlikely an established seller would try to scam you. Makes you wonder if the item wasn't taken out somewhere in transit and maybe sealed again? Also seems unlikely because they'd probably just discard the box. It's a mystery.
It's really unfortunate you have to pay through the nose to send the box back with tracking, but as Hermum says, it's likely to be the only way you'll get a refund. Good luck - hope it gets sorted soon.0
-
The best way to deal with this would have been to do an Item Not Received. If it's come from overseas, it's unlikely to have been tracked door to door.
The same thing happened to me with a return of some very expensive sunglasses. A cheap pair were returned, the sender believing he had tracking. Great fun.0
-
            Well the story continues..
The seller indeed didn't scam me, it has happened somewhere in the transit, box has been opened and resealed.
But my main concern is, HOW?!?! How is this possible, I mean if you send your packet, they are stored somewhere in a van right? And then they get shipped or not? Does that mean, some burglar got into the van and stole it? Sorry, I know this sounds ridiculous but I am new to this sort of stuff, so I don't really know how things are done.
Anyway, I feel sorry for him... and he offers me a refund. Now, would I have to send the parcel back? I mean there is only booklets (half of them torn) and the charging wire. I think thats pointless since the shipping fees are more money than the stuff inside the box.:rotfl:
Anyway, thank you all, I let you know if I have news for you 0 0
