Hi to all. i am soon coming to the end of contract with 3 i have requested the Pac and have it now. however the offer that i wanted to take up with vodaphone thru quidco requires a credit check . there is nothing wrong with my history however in 2008 i put a security password on my credit file. now i can t remember it and they cant do the check.

i have been told that if i send off my id and two utiity bills they will let me change the password but i am concerned that this may not occur in time as i have to 21 st may to use pac or 3 will charge me £30. does any one know if i could go to vodaphone shop and show id that way . any help appreciated.

Don't know about a shop (and you'll lose the cashback), but you can ask '3' to switch you to PAYG after the contract expires (ask for a confirmation by a letter or e-mail). Later you can ask for another PAC.

With '3' until you sort out the problem with Voda.

Have you been asked to supply the originals or copy's?

If it's a copy then most shops can fax them to the right dept, if it's originals then only the (I assume) credit ref dept can perform the check not the shop staff.

Why would 3 charge you £30, if you dont use the PAC the 3 contract just rolls on until you give them 30 days notice or request another PAC and then use that. !!

They will charge £30 for the next month. It doesn't make much sense to pay £30 p.m. if you don't get a new expensive phone for free.
