French sim that's a good deal for Data?

Anyone know of a French sim or UK provider that gives decent rates on data in France?

We are just going away for a week but ideally need data while on the move.

Really looking for PAYG or monthly phone that has no contract.

Thanks

I've never tried buying a SIM abroad but I may well do so in Spain later this year.

On my last trip to France I used Vodafone (UK) roaming and found that the 25MB they do for £2 did what I needed.

If you do find a reasonable deal please post after you come back with how it went. I for one would be interested.

voda is good for spain, need d.o.b passport and spannish address (hotel room)
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Have a look at this site http://paygsimwithdata.wikia.com/wiki/France

I use the orange mobicarte pay as you go service as i travel to France 3-4 times a year. However, in france you need to register a pay as you go card, show ID and provide a French address before it is activated. Some places will not accept ID that isn't French, whereas others are more flexible. It's not quite as straightforward as it would be in the UK.

Note as well what it says in the wiki - you need to wait until the bon plan confirms it has activated (you get a text) before you start browsing, otherwise it will deduct credit from your phone at an alarming rate! Also pop access email is charged separately (e.g. internet explorer, thunderbird), but you can use webmail ok.
