ive been offered this on iphone4, (tmobile) is it good?

Ive been with tmobile for 15 years (one to one before) and after 9 months of "begging" and speaking to the retentions team this is the deal ive been offered...

Iphone 4 white

£30 for the phone

£40 a month for the contract (flex 40) - i do use allot of mins

18 month contract (as oppose to 24 months to joe public

A guarentee on my account that i can renew my contract after 12 months to another tmobile contract.


the good

ive been with tmobile 15 years so they have let me have a tariff not open to new costomers, and they have let me have an 18 month contract for the price of a 24 month


the bad

i just feel after 15 years of getting great redemtions, this isnt a lot

the summary

total cost over 18 months is £750

just a small note, i will prob get a £5 booster each month to take monthly price to 45 and total cost to £840 (but this can be changed every 30 days, so not set in stone)


i use about 1000 mins and 300 text every month, so the 900 mins contracts are not enough

I would ring up and do the following....

Choose the ' im thinking of leaving' option

Say you saw a better deals elsewhere

mention the 3 - One Plan (Sim only)

2000 mins
5000 texts
ulimited data
£25

they should hopefully make an offer the minimum i would
be looking for is....

At least 1000 mins
At least 500 texts

£10-15

then ask them if they are doing any special offers on any phones
At the time they were doing the Samsung Ace at a discointed rate.

If you get a smarthphone from them they should give a 3GB allowance

If you are uncertain of the deal just tell them you need to think about it. Then post the offer they made here.

With an iPhone 4 you're lucky to get any kind of special deal at all. £10-15 is completely unreasonable for that particular phone and the Ace doesn't compare to it.

Seems to me you've been offered a decent enough deal, better than most people would get with an Apple product!

it should be pointed out in response to the messages ive had.

I have spoke to retentions 3/4 times. I have mentioned the 3 deal and i definately want an iphone4

Well if you definatley want an iphone then you got to pay the premium.

If thats the case then the above deal seems decent enough.

i would go with three on the one plan.
