2 free PS3 games to compensate for down time

Have you reported it? As far as I was aware, Sony havent been contacted by any banks to say that money had been stolen......

yes bank and PS3 both contacted.

That really sucks, did you managed to get the money back from the bank?

As far as I am aware, nothing has been officially offered to EU gamers for the downtime yet. I don't see any evidence of 2 free games that has actually come from Sony. They vaguely mentioned about getting a free month of their premium subscription service. But they didn't mention if that would include games, how long they could be kept for, if they were full games, nothing.

They promised EU customers ID fraud protection about a week ago, but don't seem to have told anyone what this is or how they can use it.

Have any of your done the new firmware update yet? Or been into the Playstation store to see what freebies there are yet? I'm a little nervous about it and didn't fancy my chances of being able to change my password while a few million other people were trying to do it at the same time.

I have saeen that it will be 2 free games full games with no time limit. Playstation store isnt up neither is most of the website just yet. The playstation plus i think its about a mix of 6-8 games from minis, ps1 classics and ps3 games but you do lose them if you let your subscription run out. which is abit troublesome. HTH

no money back yet as its a fraud investigation, could take a month or more.

*Where* have you seen it? The link posted above is just a games news site, and may as well be a rumor, I haven't heard Sony say anywhere at all that they are going to give two free games away. Don't get me wrong, I want 2 free games! But until they actually post whats in the EU welcome back package, I don't think any one can say that.

Interesting to know PS Store isn't back up though thanks.

I'm very sorry to hear that, that is rotten luck. Have you tried asking the bank if you can do a charge back from the company/person who took the money (I imagine you've done everything but just in case!)? That's the easiest way I have found to get money back from a bank on a debit card. I hope they sort it quickly for you.

Just got the welcome back/change you password and update your firmware e-mail from Sony.

They have included a link to where the welcome back package will be announced when it is announced:

It says at the moment:

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe reveals details of Welcome Back programme for PlayStation Network users.
The details of the Welcome Back programme will be announced here soon.

Fingers crossed it will be 2 games...

Where do you get the games from, I'm confused because every time I go on the store is says its down. Can anyone help?:)
