I've never seen a total loss recorded on a V5C, but it has been mentioned on MSE before. It's something I've looked out for, but have never seen.
If the vehicle were a total loss, it would have shown up on an HPI check, but if the damage was not deemed sufficient by the insurers, or if no claim was made by the owner of the vehicle, then there would be no record on MIAFTR. There may be a record on CUE if a claim was made, but that would not show up on an HPI check.0 -
Last car I had I took for a swim. The new owner was not told, to me tuff0
