This is useful if you have a number of people using a PC, it has a default set of sites to block, you can also add to that, if you have any sites you know are safe then you can set them to always allow, otherwise, no password, no site

If you think your machine is now clean and it's working, download and run Marwarebytes and post the logs after you've removed anything it's found.
It might also be useful to post a HiJackThis log to see what else is going on.
Hopefully one of the techies will be along to read them and give you some more advice.

Do you have any logs that found and removed any malware? Post a hijackthis log (run as admin)

Look for an underlying rootkit with Avast rootkit scanner:

MBAM found two separate infections. One is a trojan that installs, runs, then uninstalls itself and leaves behind those reg entries. The other is the dropper. Would be worth using this OTL tool to wipe your temp locations, as sometimes the installer is left behind:

Temp File Cleaner by Old Timer
    http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/files/file/187-tfc-temp-file-cleaner-by-oldtimer/
You'll have to manually restart your antivirus software from the Start Menu, as it shuts down running processes to make the temp file deletions.

Pretty sure the eXplorer.exe is just rkill.

There's bound to be more of it there though. Info:

    http://about-threats.trendmicro.com/ArchiveMalware.aspx?language=us&name=TROJ_FAKETWT.A

Put in a HijackThis log, so we can see if there are any of the mentioned autostarts. Save to the desktop, then hold down LEFT SHIFT while RIGHT CLICKING on the file. Run system scan and save log, post the full log here:
    http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/hijackthis/beta/HijackThis.exe

    Run these very quick scans:
Run the Avast aswMBR tool (http://public.avast.com/~gmerek/aswMBR.htm)
    Run TDSSkiller (http://support.kaspersky.com/downloads/utils/tdsskiller.zip)
Run Hitmanpro if you haven't already.
Try Prevx 3.0 - it won't clean anything in the free version, but the Detection is functional and it'll help find some of the more tricky things (http://www.prevx.com/). You can just uninstall it afterwards.

I did the TFC thing, the computer just went off and when it came back on there was no log or anything like that so don't know if it actually did anything! Had hijack this already on desktop so above is the log of the scan.

You MAY have a trojan currently running (C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe). Go to www.virustotal.com and upload the above, select "re-analyse" if it says its already been done. Can post a link. It can either be legit or malware.

Have you done the other steps? And was was the outcome?

Couldn't find any malware related autostarts, but there might be some in the Task Scheduler since HijackThis doesn't show them. Go have a look manually in the scheduled tasks, and make sure there's nothing else that is dodgy.

If you re-run Hijackthis, check the box next to the following and press 'Fix Checked'

You can do the same for the other entries starting with O2 and O3 if you want to get rid of some of these toolbars, except the Java entry. Also loads of bloat in the O4 section, which shows what programs are set to automatically run on startup. Most of them are unnecessary. I would only let Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes autostart from what I saw, but since its your computer you should decide. SuperAntiSpyware doesn't need to autostart if its the free version, as it doesn't have a resident guard anyway. Just run when you need to.

Looks like Malwarebytes has a cleanup script in place, so you might need to reboot the computer for that to finish, but first check the task scheduler.
