    Could:
(used to express conditional possibility or ability): You could do it if you tried.

    Didn't:
    Did Not.

    That about covers it.

Have you complained to Tesco, or the manufacturer?
    What do you think?

No, luckily i live alone, but this is it - its the "what if" scenario! If i didnt live alone, and someone was sleeping the other side of the bed it definitely would have caused an injury. Luckily by the time i discovered it it was lying horizontal on top of the mattress.

Do you normally lie vertically when in bed? If If If! If my Uncle had tits he'd be my Aunt!

If, ifs and ands were pots and pans there'd be no need for tinkers.

Never understood what she meant until I was at least 20, but yes, wise old thing she was.

It depends where the wardrobe is positioned

Did it damage your bedding at all? Perhaps it tore a hole in your nice sheets and you would just like them replaced?

Alas, you get nothing for a 'what if', not in this game...

I was talking about the needle being horizontal. The point I was making was that instead of it still sticking up, by the time I found it (whilst lying horizontally) in bed, it too was horizontal.

I find it difficult sleeping vertically these days.

and ok, I get the point about the what ifs. this is why I wanted the advice!
    thanks

And I think anyone who didn't interpret "them" in this context as Tesco requires more spoon-feeding of information than is generally required. :)

Actually I was trying to find out who the OP had complained to (the retailer or the manufacturer).

Depending on who the manufacturer is, then OP may get more luck through Tescos, who should be the first port of call anyway.

The fact is that the OP has been sold a mattress that is dangerous.
