I think the point us nashly that a lot of the people who post on here do so in their own time and to share their knowledge.

A number of these people work for the department you are so eloquently slating so maybe if you moderated the way in which you speak about them, you may get more help.
I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.

I dont work for the DWP but I still take exception at the comments made by the OP.

I hope they get well and truly shafted in every possible way because of their comments. There was no undue delay in the notification being issued from what has been said.

Get a job if you hate the DWP so much.

And BTW, fail to notify the DWP of a return to work in a timely manner and they will at very least raise an overpayment against you and possibly prosecute you for fraud.

So NOT informing me my ESA had been stopped and NOT telling me for 6 days was NOT a delay ???????? you sound an ideal person to work for the DWP.

Six days, how much of that was down to the royal mail?

In any case, that isnt excessive.

    Stop whining.

The letter was dated the 9th May and I got it on the 11th, with JSA refusing the backdated claim they have taken money from me that i am legally entitled to, I am sure if you were mugged for your money you would make a complaint.

It is my mOney, it's all our money. Tax payers money.

You've sought advice, been given advice.

Benefits come with rights and responsibilities. If you feel you have a case, try the proper channels eh?

I am that's why I have asked the JSA to look again at the mistakes they have made to save the cost of an appeal.

I keep saying it isnt excessive.

When you applied for the backdating did you state that you were looking for work for the period you were looking to be backdated for?

Mugging is a criminal offence. Nothing comparable has happened to you.
