THE FUTURE IS ONE BIG CHALLENGE AFTER ANOTHER for 3Dogs and friends ..... PART 3

I'm off to bed in a minute as I've had a very busy and tiring day. First off, at 9.30 am, I took my friend to the ATM at Mr A's to get some cash out and we popped into the store to get a pair of slippers for her too. When we got back at 10.15 am, Mr 3Dogs was off to meet his mate for lift to his workshop to sort the electrics out on the van. I did the washing up, and some washing too, then got changed and, at 12.50 pm, walked 1 mile to edge of the village to go to the ATM there as I had forgot to get some cash out for me in the morning and I needed some for my bus fare , then I stood waiting 20 minutes by the side of the main A47 in the scorching heat for the next bus, and got that into town, getting off near Mr T's. A 10 minute walk to Royal Mail Sorting Office, back to Mr T's to get a couple of bits, then a 40 minutes walk up to the slimming class venue in terrible humidity. I was worn out and my feet covered in blisters when I got there
Got straight down to weighing members in, while consulant got me a lovely ice cold glass of sparkling water to cool me down. I was there till about 8 pm, then me and Alan, who had arrived at 6 pm, got a lift home from one of the members, getting home about 8.30 pm. We have had a treat tonight and a little drink, but we are both ker-nackered
The guy coming to check the electrics on the van was late, but when he did arrive and checked it, he said it wasn't that switch he'd thought it would be, it was actually the immobiliser   It seems that, with the Combo, if you change the engine you lose your connection to the immobiliser from your key, so you have to get it redone which costs a lot at a dealership. So, he suggested another guy, who is coming tomorrow to cut off the immobiliser. We will be able to use the car normally but the immobilser will no longer set when you lock the car. Mr 3Dogs is mad at himself for not realising that this was the problem
Night Night then, and sleep well everyone

 to the blisters.
Hope you can get imobiliser sorted out.
I have no skin on the inside edge of my right big toe and a huge blister on the facing side on my next toe, a smaller burst blister on the outside of my big toe joint (my 'bunion'), a blister on the outside edge of my left foot, and smaller marks on both feet. Well, as well as it being a long way for me to walk in that heat, it was the first time of wearing my sandalls since last year - a recipe for blisters for me anyway  but the alternative was to wear my trainers or leather shoes with socks and it was just too hot. It was so hot, I wore a skirt   not something I do that often
anyway, I have some wound healing spray which I put on last night and this morning, after 'showering my feet' to cool and clean them. Definitely wearing the socks and shoes today though
mind you, I haven't tried my shoes on yet - might need the extra room that the trainers offer
My slimming consultant is picking me up at 9 am at the bottom of the road, so I only have a 5 minute walk and, hopefully, Mr 3Dogs is able to pick me up afterwards, about 11.30/11.45 am. His mate has already picked him up to go over to the workshop to meet the guy about the immobiliser
OK, I've got to get ready to go out - we have had a quick shower of large spots of rain and more threatened - in fact, it was thunder and lightning over where out friend lives, where the workshop is, when he left about 7.50 am and that is only about 25/30 minutes away
So, perhaps we will have some of your weather today Beanie - I see you have even more rain yesterday too
See you later this afternoon, when I will be doing my washing ready to pack for tomorrow

You too petal
I got back about 12 noon and the consultant gave me a lift to my door as the thunderstorms had started - she could only drive at 30 mph along the main trunk road as it was flooding straight away, though I think it has stopped now
GOOD NEWS Mr 3Dogs has just rang and thye van is now running again - I could hear it in the background purring away - well not quite, as it is a diesel engine
but at least it is back on the road - yippee :j :j
