Can i stay at my boyfriend's council flat

ok so my boyfriend just got a flat and i'm seemed confused about it as my boyfriend said that he's not a sercure tenent he's only an introductary one and i can't stay over for a least a year, my parents say that's a lie cos as long as the rent paid i can stay 2 - 3 nights a week but i'm so confused waiting a year is a bit to much.

People might have told you that you're classed as living together if you stay at your boyfriend's for more than 2 or 3 nights a week - but this is plain wrong

As long as you're only visiting, you'll be fine. He won't be evicted even if you stay Friday to Sunday every weekend.
