Bargain Samsung D500 on contract

Hello all,
I ordered a V3 razor with O2 with dialaphone however when the phone arrived (next day) i discovered that i really didnt like it so called customer service to cancel the contract. they asked if i liked the contract type i said yes but the phone was horrid when they offered me my choice of any phone and an extra 2 months half price line rental if i stayed with them so here was the deal i got
12 month contract with O2 200 anytime/network mins + 50 text per month
8 months half price line retail £15 upto £30 however i can change the tarriff after 6 months and the phone is not locked, it was a bit long winded but the turn around was only 4 days and dialaphone sent me a pre-paid bag to return the unwanted phone.
