No, the phone was not supplied with a SIM as it was a prize from O2. For all I know, it could already be unlocked [unlikely] but as I said, I can't check.
If I change my current Vodafone SIM for a micro-SIM, once it's activated, I won't be able to use it in my usual phone. Unless... isn't it possible to buy an adapter to use a micro-SIM in a normal-SIM-using phone?

you can buy adaptors to make a micro sim full size. Why not pop along to a vodafone shop and see if they can try it?0
