My family and i have just returned from Malaga on a flight with Jet2 our return flight was delayed by about an hour which wasn't to much of a problem until we were told by the pilot that the airport we were flying back to (Blackpool) closed at midnight and we would be diverted to Manchester and be taken to Blackpool by coach. This meant we got to our final destination 3 houre later than expected do we have any rights to complain/claim anything.

Thanks,
Mandy

What sort of amateur "International" airport shuts up shop for the night when it still has inbound flights?! (which are only delayed by an hour!)

I agree with lfc84, complain to the airport, and take your business elsewhere in future!

In terms of Jet2, in the event of diversions they have to get you back to your original intended destination, which they did. One assumes the closure of Squire's Gate Airfield was beyond their control.
